Public Works is looking to replace a 1999 Dynapac pavement roller
Background Information
The Dynapace CC102 5600 lb. pavement roller was purchased in 1999 and we keep the replacement cycle on a 20 year cycle for this piece of equipment in order to reduce down time with major component failures. This roller is used for cold rolling of asphalt pavement as well as rolling the medians and ball fields in the spring. We have two quotes for replacement, one from FABICK Cat for $59,000, and one from Miller-Bradford and Risberg for $51,485.00
Financial Impact
There is $60,000 in the capital equipment plan budget for this item. This item was also part of the 2023 Bond issuance
Recommendation
We would recommend purchasing the 5,600 lb. double drum pavement roller from Miller-Bradford and Riseberg for $51,485.00 and listing the current roller for sale |
